Presentations, lectures, group discussions and workshops will review different ways of involving audience in exhibitions and how can museums have greater influence\/impact on their visitors\u00b4 attitudes and lives through visitor participation.\u00a0<br \/>Specific objectives of the conference are to:<\/p><ul><li>systematically review participants\u00b4 previous knowledge and experiences on interactivity<\/li><li>provide new information regarding different forms of interactivity as well as discuss their advantages and disadvantages<\/li><li>present Hungarian and foreign examples\/case studies<\/li><li>involve participants in directed observation and\u00a0 analyzis of some exhibitions of the host museums and some heritage sites<\/li><li>work out ideas for developing the examined parts of the exhibitions in question in order to make them more interactive<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"szov\"><br \/>\u00a0As a long-term result of the conference we would like to achieve that different professionals (curator, designer, education officers etc.) working together for an exhibition learn about\u00a0 and consider each other\u00b4s points from early on in the planning process producing more visitor-friendly exhibitions this way.<br \/>\u00a0Chair of the conference: Imre Kaj\u00e1n, director of Duna Museum in Esztergom; facilitators: Barbara Woroncow, Nicky Boyd, free-lance UK consultants and martin Watts (York Museums Trust) as well as Edit B\u00e1rd, Zsuzsanna Bat\u00e1ri, Open Air Folk Museum, Szentendre and Imre Kiss, Hungarian Museum of Commerce and Catering. Among the presenters we have Judit Bajz\u00e1th (Hungarian Natural History Museum), and J\u00e1nos Tari (AVICOM, Museum of Ethnography) and a lot others. We have also included 10-minute presentations offered by participants.<br \/>\u00a0Presence of the UK facilitators is sponsored by the British Council.<\/p><p>Main supporter: Dr. J\u00f3zsef Holl\u00f3, director of Military Museum<br \/>Supporters: Dr. Annam\u00e1ria V\u00edgh, Museum Department of Ministry for Cultural Heritage and dr. Some rooms are offered free by the Hungarian National Museum and the Museum of Transport.\u00a0 1000,-HUF discount from students or staff from foundation or private museums, or two members of staff coming from the same museums\u00a0 can get the same discount together.
